Candy starts in the hotglass studio. A painstaking layering process is used to build up the layers of clear and coloured glass. The glass is then stretched until the desired thickness is achieved. It is then taken through a cooling cycle. Once it is cold a saw lined with diamond is used to slice the rods into 1cm wide discs. these discs are then placed into a kiln in various formations and melted together. A high temperature is used to acheive a smooth finish and a lower one is used when a bumpy finish is required. Each piece is priced according to how many discs are used

Candy is available as a shallow dish 30cm dia priced £400.00+, as a framed piece up to 15 discs £300.00+ and as an unmounted wall hanging up to 9discs £90.00+ . The prices can increase if certain colours and sizes are requested
